Review:

Geenee has some novel ideas and a beautiful, easy to use layout. The agency has ironed out a lot of the kinks that we noted in our last review. Geenee has pinpointed six featured cities and offers to visit member homes in each featured city to personally rate the home. The problem is that few of the homes seems to be rated and the discounts promised for those featured are few. Our previous review gave Geenee the benefit of the doubt, but we now feel that those features are good ideas that just didn't work.

The member area is well done. Location search for swaps in the featured cities area is very specific. Unfortunately, all other searches in other areas the search is limited to country or state level. There is a type in option for specific cities in the advanced search area..

The sort by "most recent" option, while good in theory, is not all that accurate. Recently Added is indicated in red, which is great, but those listings are not always at the top of the first page. It seems they should if the listings are indeed sorted by "most recent". The other sort option is useless (sort by ratings) since there do not seem to be many, if any ratings.

We like the fact that rentals are clearly listed on the listing summary.

Geenee has two services options, Basic ($99) and Plus($199). Services offered include Deposit Escrow, Arbitration and Insurance. Since these options are fairly well hidden on the site, we're not sure if they are being used.

Join dates are also clearly listed on each member page. Email contacts are posted on the site with notification sent to members, which necessitates a visit to view mail. Close to 60% of Geenee’s listings have pictures. Great job, Geenee. Updated 02/10
