HomeForSwap has some captivating features. We love the specific reverse search feature which allows a swapper to find someone who wants to go to his exact location. It also has an alphabetical bar to find listings from each country.

Members are permitted to post unlimited pictures and video of their home. A comments and ratings feature is included on each listing. There are advanced search options to the city level and the listing page includes a zoom-able Google map. The map on the home page only allows search to the continent listing with no sortability options.

We wish that HomeForSwap would indicate the number of listings it has in each country. We like to use that feature when deciding whether to join an agency. Fortunately, Know Your Trade has done the work for you in nine major countries. It also would certainly be beneficial to have an idea of the age of listing, with at least an indication of the last update. Sorting and saved favorites would also help.

There is also a chance to join a network of fellow members. We're not sure what that means, but once a member joins a network, s/he is displayed on the other member's listing.

It charges $75 per year, with a discount for multi-year lsitings. HomeForSwap also offers a guarantee of another year free if a swap is not made. About half (48%) of the listings have images. Updated 02/10
