Home Base Holidays is a member of the First Home Exchange Alliance (FHEA) which includes Green Theme International, Guardian Home Exchange and Invented City. All four organizations share the same database. Home Base Holidays is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Congratulations! This home exchange works hard. It has many options on the search engine and quite importantly indicates both the registration date and the expiration date of members. Home Base Holidays has recently added maps on each listing.

Home Base Holidays offers tidbits about home exchange on regularly updated blogs, with taking special care to highlight listings and offer advice. Home Base Holidays primarily focuses on home and hospitality exchanges and rarely includes rentals that are not included along with at least one exchange option.

All listings are current; both the registration and expiration dates are shown. For added security, and to protect members' privacy even further, all contact between Home Base Holidays members is done from within the private member area (an alert message is sent whenever there is a new message from a member). Sent and received messages are stored in folders, with on-going correspondence with each member stored separately for easy reference. In fact, member security seems to be the hallmark of the FHEA alliance.
