The features have been well thought out. Searches are as detailed as a member chooses them to be. A map feature on each listing allows for a precise picture of the location of the exchange home. Unlimited pictures with captions and a guarantee of another year free if an exchange is not made round out the package of this excellent home exchange site.

Emails can be sent to 25 members at a time. That's fine, but we wonder if it encourages swappers not to pay as much attention to listings when searching. Or is it a great convenience? HomeExchange.com also sends email alerts to members when a new member joins or a listing has been updated in an area of interest.

New features that have recently been added include feedback from exchange partners. Easy searching and large membership numbers (especially in the U.S.)are the hallmark of HomeExchange.com. In addition, the agency now offers a three month membership option as well as home exchange insurance, underwritten by Lloyd's of London, that is included in the membership.
