Invented City is a member of the First Home Exchange Alliance (FHEA) which includes Home Base Holidays, Guardian Home Exchange and Green Theme International. All four organizations share the same database. It has recently had a facelift, making the site much more attractive. We like the clean, simple navigation.

All listings are current; both the registration and expiration dates are shown. For added security, and to protect members' privacy even further, all contact between Invented City members is done from within the private member area (an alert message is sent whenever there is a new message from a member). Sent and received messages are stored in folders, with on-going correspondence with each member stored separately for easy reference. In fact, member security seems to be the hallmark of the FHEA alliance.

Invented City's reverse search could be more specific to increase accurate results. It is limited to write-in only. There is a browsable map to the country level. In addition each listing has a map, making it easy to pinpont the location.
