Review:

Livingaway.com was resurrected from the now defunct Swaphouse.org. Livingaway.com includes both rentals and home exchanges, but separates each into its own section, a very good strategy, in our opinion.

The picture display on Livingaway.com of each listing is fantastic! Although the search is not map-based, it is fairly specific - down to country or state or area, depending on the number of members. There is no indication of listing or expiration date, which will be a major problem when the site gets a little older. Our listing has expired; for some reason the listing is still visible on LivingAway, but we cannot log in to the site. We're not sure what would happen if someone who was a paying member would try to contact us. The site navigation is good, once one figures out how to get back into the main site, if needed.

Livingaway.com annual membership fee is now 50 Euros. 64% of the listings have images. Updated 02/10
